Hamish Gorman - Selected in NSW Team for Australian All Schools Cross Country after a top performance at State all Schools Cross Country - l8yrs 8k

Jill Smith - Gold Medal 60 - 64yrs 6k State Cross Country Championships.

Maureen Cox - Gold Medal 55 - 59yrs 6k State Cross Country Championships.

Gold Medal Performance to 45 + mens team of Peter Dooley. Bill Stahlhut Glenn Sansom & Jeff Rayner in 12k Championship event.

Silver Medal Performance to 55 + mens Team of Milton Cox. Rob Pickard. Kevyn Davis & Jack Robertson in the 8k Championships.

Jill Smith, Laural Ferrington. Eva Moeller Duhme, Maureen Cox - Gold Medal in 55 + Relay at the State Cross Country Relay Championships.

Gus & Jed Frank, Gus Stretton & Brendan Kellett : - This young team performed well under pressure to receive the Silver Medal in U/12 Boys State Cross Country Relay Championships finishing just 7 seconds behind the winning team.

Cristine Suffolk, Elisa Godwin, Alison Strand & Linda Weatherill- Silver Medal in 35 + womens State Road Relays.

Milton Cox, Eric Moeller Duhme, Kevyn Davis & Jack Robertson. Silver Medal in 55 + Male Team State Road Relays.

 

Summer Competition

 

Campbell Harvey: - Top run in State All Schools U/14 800m & 400m winning Silver Medal in 400m & qualifying for both events to compete at the Australian All Schools. This talented young athlete placed 4th in the Australian 400m final improving his time by 4 seconds.

Jake Ring : - Top performance to break the long standing 800m 16/l7yrs club record (set in 1979) Jake continued to impress by breaking two more long standing Club records in March, being the 1k & 3k - 18/9yrs.

Ava Jeffrey: - Top performance in Club 1k Handicap to win the event improving her previous best time over 1k by 1 second.

Maxine Gernyi: Gutsy performance to complete the King Island Marathon in Victoria, March 2008.

Top Performances at Australian Masters Athletics Championships — Sydney. March 2008

 

Cristine Suffolk , 35 — 39yrs Continued her domination in the distance events at Australian level by winning Gold Medals in 10k & 5k on the Track & 8k Cross Country.

Linda Weatherill , 45 — 49yrs Took an incredible 15 seconds off her previous best time in the 1,500m to claim the Silver Medal. A great result for her first experience at National level

Lyndy Douglass, 45 — 49yrs Also In her first Australian Championships was very quick off the mark to take out the Silver Medal in the 6Om sprint.

Peter Dooley, 50 - 54yrs. With State titles under his belt for the 800m & 1500m, Peter stepped up a notch and ran brilliantly to take out the National titles in both the 1500m & 800m.

Bernie Condon , 70 — 74yrs. Quite a seasoned competitor at this level, Bernie’s speed over his favourite events gained him the Bronze Medal in 200, 100 & 60mts.
